Patricia Krentcil, popularly known on the internet as ‘Tan Mom’, is running for a Senate seat in Florida, crushing incumbent Republican Senator Rick Scott. According to TMZ, Krentcil completed the appropriate paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission on Monday and will be qualified for the forthcoming 2024 elections. She initially came to public attention in 2012, when she was accused of bringing her then-6-year-old daughter into a tanning booth in New Jersey — though she was ultimately exonerated of the charges and claims no guilt. She has subsequently become a frequent guest on the “Howard Stern Show” and has recorded her own music, embracing her Tan Mom character.

Patricia Krentcil was most recently seen in the 2023 docuseries “Tan to 10,” which follows a group of “plastic surgeons, drag queens, & best friends” as they seek to makeover “the tannest woman in the world.” Krentcil is a Republican candidate for the United States Senate from Boca Raton, Florida. Her campaign managers were described as Gregg Maliff and Adam Barta, her producers. The candidate stated that she plans to promote LGBTQ+ rights and encourage diversity in schools through her campaign, which includes a number of community appearances.

Patricia Krentcil Is Running For The Position Of Senator In The US State Of Florida

Tan Mom has officially declared her candidature for Florida Senator. Patricia Krentcil, a reality TV star, filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission earlier this week to officially run for the US Senate in 2024, according to TMZ. In the election, she will face Republican Senator Rick Scott, so she will have her work cut out for her. According to the site, the outspoken mother aspires to bring crucial queer topics to the Senate floor because she has formed a close bond with the LGBTQIA+ community. As she campaigns around Florida, she intends to restore diversity in classrooms and address other issues. The makers of her reality show, Tan to 10, Gregg Maliff and Adam Barta, have been selected as her campaign managers. The 56-year-old made a reputation for herself by acting in adult videos and taking her then-five-year-old daughter Anna into a tanning bed in New Jersey in 2012.

The New Jersey native, who frequently appears on Howard Stern, revealed to Business Insider that she has recently entirely changed her view on life, claiming that she no longer tans. She told the publication that she has been attempting to shed the persona that has made her famous over the previous decade. She stated that she is a ‘completely different’ person since the death of her husband Richard, who died in 2020 after being diagnosed with colon cancer, Covid-19, & pneumonia. “I’m a completely different person today. I’ve completely changed my outlook on life.” “I’ve changed my life,” she said. “I’m no longer disrespected. I don’t go out or do anything outrageous.” Her main goal today is to be a good mother to her two children, Anna, who is now 16, and Addison, who is 13 years old. “I’m here to ensure that my kids are taken care of,” she said. “And I have taught them strength in their lives from a very young age.” “I try to take my own advice,” Krentcil continued. She noted that she is no longer ‘dark,’ which she is grateful for because it was ‘exhausting to keep up’.
