Afghanistan is a landlocked country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia. The country’s capital is Kabul. Recently, the ongoing situation in the country is terrible. Because a Taliban group enters Afghanistan and captures various cities and the major one is Kabul. In the Pashto language, the word Taliban means Students. The Taliban is an organization that is a Sunni fundamentalist that is entangled in Afghan politics after 20 years. The reason is currently elected government is stepped down because of the Taliban only. Further, It is also a military group and having more than 85000 members in it. The recent leader of the Taliban is Hibatullah Akhundzada.
Taliban supported the Sharia law
Taliban supported the Sharia law very strictly and those who don’t follow that, get strict punishment from them. The law includes public implementations of convicted murderers and adulterers and amputations for those found guilty of theft. It is mandatory to men were needed to grow beards and women had to wear the all-covering burka all the time and they won’t step outside without any make member.
And also the organization also banned television, music, and cinema, and resisted girls aged 10 and over going to school. They were condemned for various human rights and cultural abuses.
Taliban blocking Afghans
In addition to this citizens of Afghanistan are worried and they have been trying to leave the country. But The Taliban is reportedly shutting off Afghans from entering Kabul’s international airport to flee the country. And breaking their obligations to the U.S., a Biden administration official said. The citizen wants freedom and wants to leave the country but the Taliban didn’t let to do this also.
As a result, The U.S. military in Kabul and a team in Qatar are developing the talks clearly to the Taliban to make clear. And allow the citizens of America and all third countries who wish to leave without any torture and with safety. The incidents and pictures of the few days have been wrenching for all of us. The airport is full of Afghan citizens and the plans were overcrowded with people. Meanwhile, the Taliban started an open fire at the airport.
Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Mitt Romney (R-UT) plead to the US that not forget the journalists and support staff who are in still Afghanistan. And it is likely more than 200 of them with their families who are seeking evacuation.
And The Taliban’s back to rule makes an end to almost 20 years of a US-led coalition’s presence in the country. Right now the country and its citizen are seeking peace hope so they will get soon.
