The suspect in Takeoff’s murder is released on a $1 million bond

According to Channel 2′s ABC affiliate station KTRK in Houston, Texas, the man accused of fatally shooting Migos rapper Takeoff was released on a $1 million bond.

Moreover, the reports state that Patrick Clark posted a $1,000,000 bond and eventually made it out on 4th January Wednesday.

Moreover, Clark made repeated attempts to get the bail amount lowered following his arrest on 1st December.

In addition, Clark’s shocking release comes after his defense team claimed that their client will not be able to put together the bond amount which was initially set at $2 million.

Meanwhile, Clark’s attorneys continued to argue the original bond amount was quite excessive. They also claimed that it was against the Constitution of Texas.

Hence, the judge had to eventually reduce the bond to $1 million on 14th December.

Consequently, Clark made another on 28th December. But his bond was denied with the judge deeming him to be a flight risk.

Clark’s attorney, Letitia Quinones talked about the judge’s decision in an interview.

She said, ‘Although we respect Judge Hill as well as his decision today, we disagree with it and to be honest we’re very surprised by it.’

Besides that, Clark stated that they have complied with other conditions. It included a financial affidavit of the DJ giving his passport card.

Quinones shared, ‘So it just leaves us puzzled what other factors are there other than the high profile nature of this case that would cause the judge not to reduce it to something that is reasonable.’
