On July 25, rapper and record producer Soulja Boy took to Instagram Live to issue a stern warning to Drake following what he perceived as a diss in a new unreleased track featuring Lil Yachty. The response from Soulja Boy came after online streamer and influencer Kai Cenat premiered the track on his Instagram Live session on July 24.

Soulja Boy, visibly agitated, addressed Drake directly during his livestream. “Drake, better keep this sht light, my boy. This is your first and only warning, my boy. I’m telling you some gangster sht. If you doing a shoutout, cool. If you in any form, shape, or way trying to disrespect me or sneak this, I’m on your a*s, my boy,” Soulja Boy warned.

The controversy began when the track, reportedly titled Super Soak, featured Drake rapping the lines, “I’m watching the moves, playin’ it close / SOD, super soak.” This line was interpreted by many as a reference to Soulja Boy’s 2007 hit single “Super Soak” and his record label Stacks on Deck (SOD), sparking speculation of a feud.

Soulja Boy wasted no time in addressing these speculations during his livestream. He pulled up Kai Cenat’s post on his laptop and directly called out Drake, giving what he termed as a “first and only warning.” He further elaborated that if Drake and his associates were trying to disrespect him, they needed to reconsider their actions. “You just went at Kendrick Lamar. He did what he did. I don’t think you wanna come at Soulja Boy. I’m just letting you know that so if it’s a shoutout stamp you and Yachty, y’all need to stamp, okay? That if ain’t no shoutout, speak on how you feel my boy. We can get to it,” Soulja Boy added.

This latest spat follows a recent social media incident where Soulja Boy criticized Drake over his rap battle with Kendrick Lamar. Soulja Boy took to Twitter, now rebranded as X, to express his disappointment in Drake, stating, “Swag Season July 28 never let a na try me like I’m Drake. You disappointed me @Drake.” He further elaborated that none of Drake’s associates had supported him during the feud, adding, “Doing all them weak a*s songs with them naz look where It got u none of them… you collab with or took on tour had yo back @Drake.”

This isn’t the first time Soulja Boy has publicly ridiculed Drake. During a 2019 appearance on The Breakfast Club, he mocked Drake, questioning his credibility and influence in the rap industry. “Draaaaakkkkkkeeee?! That na who got bodied by Pusha T? Drake?! Y’all… better stop playing with me in here. Y’all talking about the light-skinned n

a from [Degrassi]? Stop playing with me like I didn’t teach Drake everything he knows,” he famously remarked.

In a later interview with HipHopDX in 2022, Soulja Boy reflected on his viral Breakfast Club moment, explaining that he was just having a good time and didn’t expect his comments to gain so much attention.

As of now, Drake has not responded to Soulja Boy’s latest warnings, but the tension between the two rappers continues to capture public attention. Fans and critics alike are keenly watching to see how this high-profile feud unfolds.
