Braxton Berrios is clearing the air after rumours surfaced that he cheated on his former girlfriend Sophia Culpo with his current girlfriend, Alix Earle. Following Culpo’s criticism of the couple’s budding romance on TikTok on Monday, the NFL player decided to offer his side of the story on his Instagram Story. I don’t want to get started. He began the video by saying, “I don’t want to fuel anything.” I honestly want this to be ended so that everyone can move on and do whatsoever makes them happy. I was in a relationship for two years, said the 27-year-old. It was a wonderful, healthy connection. And towards the end, we had discussions about how we just weren’t working out.

So that’s why we split up in January. He went on to claim that the couple’s breakup “had nothing to do with anybody else” and that sometimes things “just didn’t work out, and that’s OK.” Although Berrios said his split from Culpo was amicable, the 26-year-old influencer earlier stated that their relationship “didn’t end well or honestly.” She further claimed that she “found out” about Berrios’ relationship with Earle through an internet article while she was still dating the Miami Dolphins player. Meanwhile, Berrios and Earle have been having a good time, flying from Miami to The Hamptons and back in recent weeks.

Sophia Culpo’s Ex-Boyfriend Braxton Berrios Speaks Out About Cheating Allegations Amid A Romance With Alix Earle

Braxton Berrios, a Miami Dolphins wide receiver, took to Instagram on Tuesday to address recent allegations that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend Sophia Culpo with influencer Alix Earle, stating that the couple parted willingly in January. Berrios, who spent four seasons with the New York Jets before joining the Dolphins in March, published a video to his Instagram Stories discussing his rumoured relationship with Earle and Sophia Culpo’s claims that he was spotted with Earle before their split was finalised. I don’t want to get started. I don’t want to add gasoline to the fire. Berrios stated, “I truly want all of this to be over and for everyone to move on and do whatsoever that makes them pleased.” I was in a relationship for two years; it was a pleasant, happy relationship. And near the end, we had discussions along the lines of ‘we just weren’t working out.’ So that’s why we split up in January. He went on to say, “It had nothing to do with anything else.” It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else. And we just didn’t work out, which is fine.

So, it’s been strange and upsetting to watch what’s happened since then, and I’ve kept silent because it’s completely out of character for me to talk about my personal life publicly, but I feel like it needs to be addressed now. Berrios did not name Culpo, but the pair started dating in 2020 and split in March. The wide receiver, who was picked by the New England Patriots in 2018, did not mention Earle in the video, but both of them have been photographed together on social media for weeks. They were spotted this weekend at the Palm Tree Festival in Westhampton Beach, New York. His remarks were in response to a TikTok video Culpo released in which she appeared to disparage the NFL player and his new relationship. Culpo reacted to the video on Monday, stating on Instagram, “It really wasn’t that deep,” as reported by People magazine. During a Q&A on Sophia Culpo’s Instagram Stories earlier this month, Culpo addressed her breakup with Berrios. She claimed she found out about Berrios’ alleged infidelity through social media. Culpo hasn’t responded to Berrios’ latest remarks on social media.
