Skai Jackson took to social media to clarify the rumours that she was allegedly auditioning for the reboot of the HBO Max show, Gossip Girl.
Moreover, in the video Jackson can be seen reciting several dialogues and acting as a rebellious freshman.

However, one TikTok user shared the recording and claimed that Jackson was auditioning for the role of Zoya on Gossip Girl.
In addition, the Disney alum commented on TikTok saying, ‘This was 5 years ago, they also gave me no description about character or project. Who cares!’
Besides that, she wrote a tweet that read, ‘That tape was 4 and a half years old, they also gave me no description of character, project and said I was playing at a younger age. You all tweets having me laughing though. I have two movies coming out in 2023, it’s okay with you all.’

Fans suspect that Skai Jackson was auditioning for Gossip Girl’s lead, Zoya despite her previous claims about being unaware of the character that she was asked to play.
A user wrote, ‘I don’t know why you all acting like the girl who plays Zoya is really much better, the only difference is Skai has a Disney’s voice.’
Furthermore, another fan chimed in saying, ‘I love Skai down but I’m glad she didn’t get the role of Zoya.’

The Gossip Girl reboot made its debut on 8th July 2021 on HBO Max. Additionally, it garnered mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike.
However, the season broke the record of being the most-watched HBO Max original series following its launch weekend.
