Adin Ross’s Friend ShnaggyHose Appears to Apologize to xQc for Using Transphobic Slur

A recent incident involving Kick streamer Adin Ross’s friend group has sparked controversy after members were caught using transphobic and homophobic slurs during a Call of Duty stream featuring Felix “xQc.” While some of Ross’s friends initially called out xQc’s actions, one member of the group, ShnaggyHose, has now seemingly issued an apology for his use of offensive language.

The incident occurred during a Call of Duty session on Discord, where Ross’s friend group and xQc’s team engaged in banter that quickly escalated into personal insults. Videos of two individuals, Cuffem and ShnaggyHose, using derogatory terms like the f-word and “tra**y” directed towards xQc went viral on social media, prompting backlash from viewers.

In response to the backlash, ShnaggyHose has appeared in a clip circulating on social media platforms, where he seemingly apologizes to xQc and others involved. In the clip, ShnaggyHose acknowledges his wrongdoing, stating, “I do apologize to xQc and all of them…for what happened a couple of nights ago. I was out of line, and I should not have used those words.”

Moreover, ShnaggyHose asserts his support for the LGBTQ+ community and vows never to use such offensive language again. He emphasizes, “I would never use them again…I support the LGBTQs.”

While ShnaggyHose’s apology signals a recognition of his mistake and a commitment to change, xQc has yet to publicly acknowledge the apology. However, xQc has addressed the incident with his audience, expressing his disappointment with Adin Ross’s friends’ use of homophobic slurs.

The incident underscores the importance of accountability and sensitivity to marginalized communities in online spaces. The use of derogatory language, particularly targeting individuals based on their gender identity or sexual orientation, can have harmful repercussions and perpetuate discrimination. ShnaggyHose’s apology represents a step towards accountability and highlights the need for greater awareness and education on LGBTQ+ issues in the online gaming community.

As discussions continue surrounding the incident, it serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts needed to foster inclusivity and respect in online communities, ensuring that all individuals can participate in gaming environments free from prejudice and discrimination.
