Here is everything you need to know.
Wendy Williams’ poster was replaced with Sherri Shepherd’s billboard
Sherri Shepherd is gearing up to launch her new daytime talk show and its promotions have already begun.
Most recently, a massive poster of Shepherd’s face was plastered right outside Chelsea Studios in New York City on Thursday. It replaced the place where Wendy Williams’ billboard once stood.
Nevertheless, fans were also quick to point out that Shepherd will film her upcoming show in the exact studio where Williams shot her famous The Wendy Williams Show.
Furthermore, the production crew reported to TMZ that the studio’s redesign is going quite well. They also revealed that the set is going to be repainted with bright and cheery colors. It will reflect the personality of the 55-year-old comedian.
The tones are reportedly light blue and yellow which are pretty similar to Shepherd’s new poster.
Moreover, insiders claim that Shepherd’s latest venture is allegedly booked until fall. They mentioned that Shepherd will most likely invite a few of her famous celebrity friends during the show’s premiere week.
Wendy Williams is not sold on Sherri Shepherd’s new show
Wendy Williams revealed that she will not watch Sherri Shepherd’s upcoming show while talking with Fat Joe during an interview on 6th May 2022.
The 58-year-old host shared, ‘I won’t be watching her because I know what she will be doing and that’s not really my thing. Um, you know? You know what I’m saying?’
She quickly went on to steer the topic towards her and she said, ‘But I love, I love being on my show. And I love that people love to watch it, you know, all the time.’
Williams had been on an indefinite absence from The Wendy Williams Show since October 2021 in the wake of medical issues.
Regardless, the syndicated daytime talk show premiered with guest hosts including Leah Remini, Michelle Visage, Whitney Cummings along with Shepherd.
However, earlier this year it was announced that Shepherd would be getting her own new talk show which is titled, ‘Sherri.’
The show will replace Williams’ iconic series and is set to hit the television screens on 12th September 2022.
Meanwhile, Williams is all set to launch her own podcast called, ‘The Wendy Experience.’
