Despite weeks of speculation, Shawn Mendes, 24, finally breaks his silence regarding the dating rumour with ‘Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying’ singer Sabrina Carpenter, 23. In an interview with a TV program on Friday, March 17, the ‘Stitches’ singer addressed the dating rumours. On the show “RTL Boulevard”, the singer-songwriter put an end to all speculations by saying, We are not dating. The singer-songwriter went on to say, but I think we need to talk more about Tommy Hilfiger than Sabrina, referencing his collaboration with the luxury fashion brand for the “Tommy X Shawn Classics Reborn” capsule collection.

Sabrina Carpenter, however, has not commented on the rumour. When the Instagram gossip account ‘Deuxmoi’ broke the news that they were secretly dating, the teenage heartthrob singer duo sparked dating rows. A message was sent to the account in February, stating that Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter were clearly on a date at Horses anon pls. In response to further questioning, the user revealed Sabrina was dressed in a brown mini skirt and Shawn was dressed in a white sweater with his newly shaved head. They were also very comfortable, according to the user.
