Serena Williams recently took the stage to speak about her VC Fund at the exclusive 1640 Society event.

Serena Williams attended an ultra-elite meeting of billionaires and business leaders at the 1640 Society Family Office Wealth Forum. It is also recognized as ‘the Davos of the Hamptons.’

Furthermore, the tennis icon took the opportunity to discuss her latest VC Fund. 

If you didn’t know, Williams heads the venture capital named Serena Ventures which she started in 2014. It is a venture capital firm that mainly focuses on startups with underrepresented founders. It also includes women, Latinos, and African Americans.

The firm has successfully managed to raise $111 million in the inaugural funding round in March 2022. 

Moreover, this comes after she announced that she is gearing to retire following this year’s tournament during an interview with Vogue magazine. Regardless, she is gearing up to take the court at the US Open soon.

According to Page Six, the 40-year-old professional athlete talked to 50 conference attendees of over 50 companies about her portfolio.

They included early investments such as MasterClass and Noom. Additionally, she spoke to Apax Partners’ Alan Patricof, White House spokesman Anthony Scaramucci, and former Marvel CEO Peter Cuneo.

Moreover, the list also consisted of Tim Draper, Kent Swig, philanthropist Nancy Davis and Canyon Partners’ Joshua Friedman among many more.

The official website of the event says, ‘The Forum brings together prominent families & philanthropists who summer in the Hamptons, the greater New York community, as well as international families from Mid East, Europe, and Asia who seek a private and exclusive venue to network, exchange new information & ideas and hear from leaders in the field.’

The annual conference is invite-only. It further covers names of powerful families such as Kennedy, Bush, Ford, Rockefeller, Getty, Johnson, Heinz, along with Musk. 

According to a media outlet, this year’s event allowed the attendees several opportunities to rub elbows with their desired party.

Hillary Latos, editor-in-chief at Impact Wealth Magazine held a lunch at the Water Mill mansion of Libbie Mugrabi. Publishers Adam Weiss and Angela Gorman also joined forces with Latos for the lunch date.

As per recent reports, the VIPs enjoyed a candle-lit beachfront dinner at Louise Blouin’s home. Blouin previously administered an art media empire. It consisted of works such as ‘Art + Auction.’
