On October 26, 2021, the United States Senate confirmed four people, two men, and two women as new ambassadors under Joe Biden ’s leadership.

Confirmed by voice vote-

John FLake (Former republican senator ) was chosen for the position of brand ambassador of Turkey. While Cindy Hensley McCain will be representing The Unites States in front of U.N. agencies for food and agriculture. Cindy is also a widow of the late senator John McCain.

Fued with Trump

McCain who died in 2018 was an  American politician, United States Navy officer, and US states senator from Arizona for a long time. Flake, who supported the republican party said in 2019 that he didn’t support and agree with the party’s beliefs and stepped out. Both McCain and Jeff Flake had been former republicans and President Donald Trump’s targets. Trump repeatedly insulted McCain targeting his life during the Vietnamese war.

Both Cindy McCain and John Flake advocated for President Joe Biden in the 2020 elections. Joe Biden is Trump’s rival and both of them appealed to their Republican supporters. This year Joe Biden also won Arizona which had not selected a Democratic representative since 1996.
