On August 30th, Selena Gomez posted a picture on Instagram regarding her show Only Murders in the Building. She eventually withdrew it after receiving flak for not abiding by the SAG-AFTRA strike regulations. She appeared to be on the set of the show in the photo because she tagged the official Instagram account for Only Murders in The Building. In the caption, the singer-actress wrote, “Missing and wanting.” The post received a lot of attention, and it was there for nearly 15 hours before she removed it.

Because of the tag, followers assumed the video was shot on the set of the Hulu series. It was being questioned whether this constituted a rule violation.
