WATERTOWN, Connecticut a car sitting idle at a gas station in Connecticut was reportedly stolen in only seven seconds, authorities said giving a warning to others about the thieves waiting up in parking areas for drivers to leave their vehicles unattended. The car robbery was accounted for at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday at a Shell service station in Watertown, a town situated around 30 miles southwest of Hartford. Local police said the car, a dark Nissan Altima, had been left running with the keys inside while the driver went inside the Watertown gas station.
Video shared to the Watertown Police Department’s Facebook page shows a red vehicle rapidly pulling up and halting close to the left Nissan Altima at a Watertown gas station. Somebody rapidly leaps out and into the vehicle left running and takes off. The car was stolen in around 7 seconds, the police division said. The local authorities noticed how a similar car burglary was accounted for the night before at a CVS, where the driver had likewise left the keys inside.
