Sam Smith’s song Unholy comes under fire for Balenciaga’s lyrics

Sam Smith and Kim Petra’s song Unholy is making headlines since they performed the record at this year’s Grammys. Moreover, recently fans are upset over Smith for mentioning Balenciaga in the song’s lyrics.

A Twitter user recently pointed out that Sam Smith and Kim Petra praise Balenciaga in their viral hit song Unholy.

Moreover, the lyrics read, ‘Give me love, give me Fendi, my Balenciaga daddy/ You gon’ need to bag it up, ‘cause I’m spending on Rodeo’

Besides that, another user took to Twitter to slam Hollywood for not condemning Balenciaga after their recent scandal.

They wrote, ‘Now Sam Smith is giving worship to the devil for millions/children to see. If you believe this is just an expression of art then I don’t know what to tell you except WAKE UP.’

Meanwhile, Smith and Petras performed a live rendition of the song at this year’s Grammys awards ceremony on Sunday night.

In addition, their performance included red lighting and pyrotechnics along with dancers performing in metal cages.

Smith on the other hand was also seen wearing a horned hat. Besides that, the duo went on to win an award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

While the song continues to go viral on social media, many netizens pointed out that the song seemingly celebrates Balenciaga.

If you didn’t know, the fashion label has been canceled online for their p**dophilic advertising campaigns. 

However, it is important to note that the song was released much ahead of Balenciaga’s recent controversy.

Furthermore, according to the lyrics of the song Unholy, it seems like it addresses infidelity.

Many fans took to social media to denounce Sam Smith and Kim Petra’s song Unholy. Additionally, they went on to call their recent Grammy performance ‘satanic.’
