However, the theories are based on a misinterpretation of a Heat Magazine piece that is no longer available.

The divorce has not been mentioned by the couple
The speculations of Will and Jada’s divorce started with a now-deleted Heat Magazine story that included a comment from an insider and was picked up by several other outlets, including the Mirror.
“Tensions between them have been obvious ever since the Oscars scandal,” the quote continues. Years of difficulties have existed, but they are now scarcely spoken. Will has a fortune of $350 million, which Jada would be entitled to half of under Californian law if they divorce.”
To begin with, the insider has kept quiet about the couple’s impending divorce. They just state “if they were to divide,” implying that it is a possibility.
Furthermore, neither Will nor Jada have addressed or even hinted at a divorce.
As a result, these rumors have no basis in fact.
Other rumors following the Oscars
In the days following the Oscars event, other rumors appeared.
According to one of them, the actor was detained and charged. Will, however, was not prosecuted because Chris Rock declined to submit a complaint.
“The individual involved has declined to make a police report,” the police informed Deadline. The LAPD will be available to finish an investigative report if the involved party requests one at a later time.”
According to another theory, Chris was wearing a cheek pad and the on-stage smack was manufactured.
However, Reuters noted in their report that the viral photo that some used to allege Chris had a cheek pad was ‘altered.’
