Streaming platform Rumble has experienced a remarkable market surge, with its value climbing by $233 million following the announcement of Dr Disrespect as the face of its gaming division. This 13% spike in share prices marks a pivotal moment for the company, fueled by excitement over the high-profile collaboration.

The deal, finalized on November 25, 2024, makes Dr Disrespect an integral part of Rumble’s future, both as a creator and behind the scenes. As part of the agreement, Dr Disrespect will offer exclusive content through Rumble Premium and work to foster the growth of the platform’s gaming community. Financially incentivized through equity in the company, the disgraced yet resilient streamer called it his “biggest opportunity to date.”

Hours after the announcement hit social media, Rumble’s stock reached its highest point since May 2024, according to Bloomberg. While this surge is significant, Rumble is still far from its peak market value achieved in 2022.

Rumble Looks to Build Momentum

Rumble’s rapid growth may not stop with Dr Disrespect. CEO Chris Pavlovski hinted that another major signing could be on the horizon, which might further bolster the platform’s appeal and stock performance. Speculation has grown around Adin Ross, a prominent IRL streamer who recently parted ways with Kick under contentious circumstances. Given Ross’s permanent Twitch ban, Rumble could emerge as a viable new home for the controversial figure.

Rumble has cultivated a reputation as a platform for individuals sidelined by mainstream services, emphasizing free expression. Dr Disrespect echoed this ethos, declaring, “No more cancel culture, no more suppression,” when unveiling his partnership.

Controversy Follows Dr Disrespect

Despite the fanfare surrounding his Rumble debut, Dr Disrespect remains a polarizing figure. His departure from Twitch in 2020 left the gaming world speculating until allegations emerged this year, accusing him of inappropriate communication with a minor. Though he denied any wrongdoing, sponsors and collaborators swiftly distanced themselves, including Turtle Beach and Midnight Society, his own gaming studio.

After a period of reduced activity, Dr Disrespect resumed streaming on YouTube, where his content was demonetized. Now, with Rumble’s backing, the streamer seems poised for a new chapter, bringing both opportunity and controversy to the growing platform.

This latest move signals Rumble’s ambition to cement itself as a serious competitor in the streaming space, catering to creators seeking an alternative to mainstream platforms.
