Viewers have been concerned about the absence of Good Morning America’s anchor. Her co-hosts Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos were silent about the same as well. There were many speculations regarding her absence from the show for the entire week.
Consequently, the journalist, Robin Roberts took to Twitter to address the same on Thursday. She has tested positive for covid-19, and that explains her absence this week. Thankfully, her symptoms are mild and she is on the road to recovery.
Last year, in January 2021, Michael Strahan had tested positive for covid-19. His co-hosts, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Amy Robach revealed the same to the viewers. In the same year, George Stephanopoulos tested positive for covid-19 in April 2021. Both the hosts were asymptomatic.
Another co-host, Amy Robach took to Instagram to reveal that she contracted the omicron variant. She started showing her symptoms 6 days back. However, she is recovering from the same and claimed of ‘getting stronger day by day’.

Robin Roberts is a 61-year-old American television broadcaster and a news anchor. Currently, she is the news anchor of ABC’s show Good Morning America. She was born in Alabama and grew up in Mississippi.
Robin Roberts began her anchoring career in 1983 when she worked as a sports anchor and journalist for WSMV-TV in Nashville, Tennessee. She worked as a sportscaster on ESPN for 15 years. 2005 onwards, she has been a co-host and an anchor on Good Morning America. Above all, she was the first openly LGBTQ+ woman to host the American TV Gameshow Jeopardy. In addition, Roberts made history for being the first person of color to hold the position.
