Here is everything you need to know.
Robbie Williams pays tribute to Shane Warne
Robbie Williams took the stage of MCG on Saturday ahead of the historic showdown between the Sydney Swans and Geelong Cats.
The English pop star sang his 1997 hit Let Me Entertain You to kick off this year’s pre-match performance. Subsequently, he belted out Rock DJ before launching into his recent track, Lost.
Moreover, Williams then went on to sing his rendition of the ballad Angels. He dedicated it to late cricket legend Shane Warne.
The 48-year-old singer announced, ‘This next song is dedicated to one of Australia’s greatest rock stars, Shane Warne. Love you Warnie!’
Furthermore, the camera cut toward the stand where Warne’s grieving children Brooke and Jackson were in the crowd.
If you didn’t know, Warne passed away earlier this year in March while he was vacationing in Thailand. He was 52 years old and died because of natural causes.
Additionally, Williams gave another tribute to a different Aussie legend. He dedicated You’re the Voice to John Farnham.
The 73-year-old music icon underwent reconstructive jaw surgery recently. He had surgery last month to remove a tumor after he was diagnosed with mouth cancer.
He is currently residing in a rehabilitation facility with his recovery supposedly ‘moving in the right direction.’
However, it remains unclear whether Farnham will be able to sing or perform in the future given the nature of his surgery.

Brilliant showman, and paid respects to the recovering John Farnham and the memory of Shane Warne. Local Aussie dancers and musicians and our fantastic Delta Goodrem also did us all proud. 👏👍😎
Meanwhile, someone else commented, ‘Robbie dedicates Angels to our very own Angel. Warnie.’
A different user mentioned, ‘Robbie Williams, this is dead set all class, dedicating a song to Warnie, absolutely brilliant.’
It was amazing- the only thing that would of been even more so is Delta singing Hopelessly Devoted
