A Nigerian traditional native law and the custom ceremony was held at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta on Friday for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia. The day was described as a “true fashion extravaganza” by Williams, who changed outfits three times. Her wedding dress was an over-the-top, deep red, princess-style gown with feathers and gold embellishments by designer Lakimmy, and her headpiece was a Benin coral beaded okuku. This is the same dress she accidentally showed over 2,000 of her Instagram followers earlier this month while live streaming.

The gowns Porsha Williams wore for the reception were both by Tabik, one in golden and one in royal blue. Many Bravolebrities attended the wedding and wore purple and teal traditional and formal attire inspired by Nigerian culture. Traditional Benin singers and dancers performed during the ceremony, which was led by representatives from each family. 57-year-old Simon Guobadia comes from the Nigerian city of Benin in the state of Edo. As the reception space was decorated with beautiful colours of browns and rose golds and tans and creams, Williams wanted attendees to feel as if they had gone on a trip to Benin.

Her happy ending came true for Porsha Williams. Porsha Williams’s rep confirms to E! News that the 41-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has married 57-year-old entrepreneur Simon Guobadia. According to People, the couple got married on 25th November at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta in a Nigerian native law and custom ceremony. Porsha Williams and Simon had traditional Benin singers and dancers perform at the ceremony, which was held in Benin City in the Edo State of Nigeria. Porsha told the publication that she wanted guests to feel as if they had landed in Benin after taking a flight. Colours of browns, rose golds, tans and creams should be used throughout the entire room. She added, Other than that, I also wanted trees in the room to give it that authentic African feel. There should be an indoor/outdoor feeling, but I want it to be luxurious.

According to reports, the Bravolebrity wore three outfits for her big day – a red Lakimmy gown and a Benin coral beaded headpiece, followed by a blue and gold Tabik dress. Porsha recently told the publication that she plans to dress seven different ways for the wedding weekend, which is the first of three ceremonies the couple has planned to celebrate their love. In the past, Porsha hinted at wanting a big wedding. She told Bravo in April, I am getting married to a Nigerian man. It will not be intimate.” Simon Guobadia was previously married to Porsha’s former co-star Falynn Guobadia, so the show is likely to be huge, but I want it to have an intimate feeling. Porsha started dating Simon in April 2021, the same month Simon Guobadia and Falynn Guobadia were married in June 2019. They split in April 2021.
