Raylee Rukavina, a Colorado-based TikToker and entrepreneur, has found herself at the center of a viral controversy after her wedding dress designer, Cenderra Ca’Zanthia, accused her of failing to pay for her custom bridal gown. The designer’s accusations, shared on social media, have sparked widespread debate, with both parties providing conflicting accounts of what transpired.

The drama began when Cenderra Ca’Zanthia, a couture wedding dress designer, took to TikTok to call out Raylee Rukavina for allegedly refusing to pay the remaining balance on her wedding dress after it had been delivered. In a video that quickly went viral, Ca’Zanthia claimed that Rukavina received the gown but subsequently blocked her on all social media platforms, making it impossible for the designer to reach her. Ca’Zanthia described the situation as theft, stating, “It’s a bridal gown, and at this point, she will not return or pay her balance, so the dress is stolen.”

Raylee Rukavina, who recently married DJ Wells in Mack, Colorado, on August 24, 2024, has not publicly responded to the allegations. Instead, she has deactivated her TikTok and Instagram accounts, leaving many to speculate about her side of the story. However, her sister McKenzie has stepped forward to defend her, providing an alternative narrative to the unfolding drama.

According to McKenzie, the blame lies not with her sister but with the designer, who she claims canceled the final dress fitting just two days before the scheduled appointment and failed to attend a subsequent Zoom meeting. McKenzie also alleged that the dress arrived only two days before the wedding, following what she described as a series of miscommunications, including the provision of a fake tracking number. When the dress did arrive, she said, it was “at least two sizes too small,” forcing the family to scramble for a replacement gown at the last minute.

In response, a source from Ca’Zanthia’s company, Casze, disputed McKenzie’s version of events. They acknowledged that Rukavina had made a down payment but denied that any Zoom meeting or additional fitting had been scheduled. They also explained that the issue with the tracking number was a technical error, not an intentional act of deceit. Furthermore, they insisted that the dress had been fitted to Rukavina during her final fitting and should have fit perfectly. The source claimed that after the dress was delivered, they received photos of Rukavina wearing it, contradicting the claim that it did not fit.

The dispute has escalated, with Ca’Zanthia creating a GoFundMe page to recoup the financial losses she claims to have suffered due to the situation. On the fundraising page, she accused Rukavina of using “unscrupulous and unethical tactics” and stated that she now faces significant financial challenges, including the need to hire a lawyer to reclaim the dress or secure payment for it. As of now, the GoFundMe campaign has raised over $900 towards its $12,500 goal.

McKenzie, however, disputes the amount Ca’Zanthia is seeking, stating that the total cost of the dress was only $6,290, of which $3,774 had already been paid. She also contended that her sister and mother attempted to return the dress but were met with resistance from the designer, further complicating the situation.

As the controversy continues to unfold, neither Raylee Rukavina nor Ca’Zanthia has reached a resolution. The situation remains a hot topic on social media, with opinions divided on who is truly at fault. What started as a disagreement over a wedding dress has now turned into a public spectacle, highlighting the complexities and potential pitfalls of custom design work in the age of social media.
