Positive K is reportedly gearing up to turn his hip-hop into humor. In other words, the rapper will soon take the stage for stand-up comedy.

Positive K is all set to enter the world of comedy

The team of Positive K confirmed that the rapper will now also use the stage for stand-up comedy along with singing.

Moreover, he has already performed at the Uptown Comedy Corner, Atlanta Comedy Theater as well as the Laugh Factory. In addition, Positive K played at The Punchline Comedy Club earlier this year.

Besides that, the 55-year-old singer also opened for comedian Mike Epps and took the stage for some of the most legendary stages for comedy.

According to reports, Positive K’s set will be a combination of musical performances including tons of relatable jokes.

Positive K is responsible for bringing Outkast to their first interview

Positive K sat down with The Boom Bap Hour podcast for an exclusive interview where he took the opportunity to promote the hip-hop duo Outkast.

Additionally, he also admitted that he brought out the Georgia artists for their first national interview on Yo! MTV Raps with Fab Five Freddy. 

He said, ‘Well, you know they were on LaFace. At that point in time, I was one of the only artists that had promotion money to promote their own records. So I had a promotion company.’

Moreover, he continued, ‘But yea, it came through and yea we got the project. Had the 12-inch and then we got the album. And the first time Outkast was ever seen was on Yo MTV Jams with Fab Five Freddy.’

Positive K added, ‘They were coming to interview me…I turned it into their interview…so I introduced them to the world, I was the one who broke it on the East Coast around the whole country.’

Positive K whose real name is Darryl Gibson was born on 8th August 1967 and brought up in the Bronx, New York. 

Additionally, he spent most of his childhood near Richman (Echo) Park where early hip-hop DJs Grandmaster Flash, DJ Sinbad, and Busy Bee would organize parties. 

He went on to release his debut album The Skills Dat Pay da Bills in 1992 with the track I Got a Man making waves on the radio at that time. For the unversed, the track remains to be his best song to date.
