Rapper Money Gang Vontae Shot Dead In New York

A chilling video shows a Los Angeles-based drill rapper “Money Gang Vontae’ being shot dead in broad daylight inside a Bronx pharmacy by a group of four men attempting to take his gold chain.
The horrifying video, obtained by The Post on Friday, shows the gang brutally assaulting Avanti Frowner, 27, inside Amazing Pharmacy on East Tremont Avenue near Arthur Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Thursday before one of the guys shot and killed him.
“They have no need to be on the streets — ever!” Avanti’s father, Roger Frowner, 56, told The Washington Post about his daughter. “They are treacherous if they kill someone in broad daylight inside a store.”
“They blundered,” Frowner continued. “They did the stupidest thing they could possibly do in their lives.” And I pray that God will make them pay for everything.”
Who is Money Gang Vontae?
Frowner is a drill rapper from Los Angeles who previously lived in Chicago under the moniker Money Gang Vontae. According to police sources and his father, he was in town for a show.
Avanti’s journey to New York was unknown to Roger Frowner until “his brother called me,” he stated.
Roger Frowner stated, “My son is gone.” “He’s in another state, and there’s nothing I can do.” So, you know, there’s a big asshole in my heart.”
What’s shown in the footage?
One of the suspects, dressed in a white T-shirt and white du-rag, appears to be struggling to grab something from Frowner in the video before three additional suspects rush in through the door.
Behind the counter, a worker can be seen knelt.
Frowner is knocked to the ground by the suspects, who then push him across a swinging door into the area behind the counter, where one of the men attacks him with a long umbrella.
The worker behind the counter vanishes just as the man in the durags fires at least four rounds, leaving the hapless victim sprawled behind the counter with a blood-soaked shirt.
Vontae was last seen in front of a Bronx bodega in a photo released on the official Money Gang Vontae Instagram account.
He stated, “I Got Used To Counting So Much Money That I Got Paper Cuts!!”
Andrea Banks, Frowner’s mother, announced her son’s death on Facebook late Thursday afternoon.
“They killed my Son MoneyGang Avanti Frowner Wolfpack I’m so heartbroken,” she posted on her Facebook page, using Frowner’s name.
