Ralph Yarl, who was shot in the head twice after he rang the wrong doorbell, has still not been able to go to school and is suffering from health issues.

Here is everything you need to know.

Ralph Yarl is still not in clear to return to school

Lee Merritt, attorney for the Yarl family, said to TMZ that Ralph Yarl met with his doctor earlier this week to know whether he can return to school. However, the medical professionals determined that he is still not well to go to classes.

Moreover, he is still suffering from a traumatic brain injury after Andrew Lester shot him. In addition, it has been reported that the section of his brain that controls emotion and stress has been injured.

Hence, the doctors are still unsure whether to let him return to the environment that prompts social interactions.

Nevertheless, it has been reported that Yarl is temporarily receiving his school assignments at his home.

Meanwhile, Ahmaud Arbery’s mom, Wanda has invited him to join her at a 5K race for his son this weekend. Regardless, the Yarls have denied her request stating the same reasons why the doctors said no to school.

Andrew Lester’s attorney is seeking to seal court records in Ralph Yarl’s case

Andrew Lester’s  defense attorney, Steven Salmon legally filed a motion earlier this week asking the court to seal records about the case.

Additionally, he claimed that his client has been receiving threats and was harassed as the investigation progressed.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the publicity of the case might make it difficult to find a jury that will make an impartial ruling. He added that the potential witnesses of the incident might be reluctant to stand in court due to the publicity.

The motion read, ‘The release of further information will continue to add fodder to oftentimes inaccurate and speculative statements about the case.’

He added, ‘This publicity in the case has already caused a widespread adverse and prejudicial reaction against the defendant and prejudice to his case.’

Lester’s attorney has also filed documents in Clay County seeking a protection order for his client.

The document mentions, ‘The incessant and unwelcome contacts by those unknown to him has caused him to have to live elsewhere.’

Besides that, it also alleged that the media is making inaccurate and derogatory remarks about Lester.

It continued, ‘Additionally, [the] defendant’s wife had to be removed and relocated from the nursing home where she resided because of publicity and harassment surrounding this case.’
