Defense attorneys for men accused of killing XXXTentacion continue to mention Drake. On Tuesday (Feb. 21), multiple objections were raised regarding Drake’s possible involvement. On Tuesday, Day 10 of the XXXTentacion murder trial, which included testimony from officer Walter Foster who investigated XXXTentacion’s 2018 murder, continued with more testimony from Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome. Mauricio Padilla asked Foster on the stand if he knew about Drake’s involvement. Padilla was then asked to reframe his question. In response, Padilla asked Foster whether he knew anything about the beef.

Padilla has been arguing that Drake and other rappers may have been involved in the murder of XXXTentacion, citing the rappers’ small beef and XXX’s cryptic tweet in 2017 that Drake would be the one to kill him. Despite Padilla’s attempts to make Drake appear for a deposition in the trial, Drake has avoided it for weeks. Padilla filed a motion on Monday (Feb. 20) to renew his petition to speak with Drake after it was previously rejected. A lawsuit filed by Padilla claimed Drake’s armed security kicked a subpoena down his driveway when process servers tried serving Drizzy in Los Angeles.

Questions About Champagne Papi Aka Drake In The XXXTentacion Trial Receive Objections

Defense attorneys for those accused of killing and robbing XXXTentacion continue to make mention of Drake. Multiple objections were raised during the trial on Tuesday (Feb. 21) regarding Drake’s possible involvement. Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome, three of the four men accused of killing XXXTentacion in 2018, continued their murder trial on Tuesday with more testimony from Det. Walter Foster, the detective who investigated the crime. Foster was asked by defense attorney Mauricio Padilla if he knew about Drake’s involvement while on the stand. Have you spoken to Cleopatra Bernard, the decedent’s mother, during your investigation? The question was asked by Padilla. Foster replied, Yes. Were you able to determine from a conversation with her that her son needed additional security because of problems with Drake and Migos that day, Padilla asked? The persecutor objected, that’s hearsay. Padilla was then asked to reframe his question by the judge. In response, Padilla asked Foster if he knew anything about the beef.

Foster replied that he was unaware of any ongoing issues. A second Drake question was asked by Padilla later. In your correspondence with Cleopatra Bernard, or anyone else, did you learn that [XXXTentacion] said before his death that it was Drake who would kill him? A question was asked by Padilla. Again, Your Honor, the prosecutor objected, saying Drake’s question was irrelevant and outside the scope of the investigator’s investigation. In response, the judge disregarded the question and sustained the objection. Then Padilla attempted to ask a question about Antonio Brown but was interrupted before he could finish. The prosecution has argued that Drake and other rappers may have been involved in the death of XXXTentacion, citing the rappers’ small beef and XXX’s cryptic tweet in 2017 about Drake killing him. Despite Padilla’s attempts to get Drake to testify at trial, Champagne Papi has avoided taking a deposition for weeks. A motion to renew Padilla’s petition to have Drake talk was filed on Monday (Feb. 20) after it had been denied previously. When process servers attempted to serve Drake at his Los Angeles home, Padilla claimed Drake’s armed security kicked the subpoena down his driveway.
