A pregnant woman recently raged on the internet about how her husband wanted her to wake up before 7 a.m. Now, a large number of people are supporting her.

The lady shared her feelings on Mumsnet when she asked if it was wrong of her for wanting more time in bed. Mumsnet is a platform where parents can get advice and support about parenting. It is a great platform for to-be mothers and fathers.

What Did The Woman Say?

The woman who is a mother of a 14 week old and a three-year-old is now expecting a third child. She wrote in a post created by the user ‘AandWsMum’- “My husband works long-ish hours, leaving the house at 8 am and getting home about 8 pm. He gets up with DS  (dear son) at about 5.45 am. His job isn’t manual but involves a lot of traveling. In the morning he takes the dog for a walk, does breakfast for DS, and gets ready.”

She further explains how hard it is sometimes to take care of two little kids all by herself. She says, “I get up about 7 am but have normally been awake for longer feeding baby. He (the husband) thinks I should get up earlier because he says he finds leaving in the morning stressful if I’m still getting ready, but usually, everything is under control. He is never annoyed or moaning he just says it would,”

The mum adds, “I go to bed around 11 pm and feed baby usually from 1-2 and then again 3.30-5 ish. I don’t mind doing everything I do and appreciate that the main reason he doesn’t is that he is just not here, but I am also EXHAUSTED.”

The lady also shares that she worked as an intensive care unit nurse but now is on maternity leave. She says that besides taking care of two children and being pregnant, she does all the chores like shopping, cooking, cleaning, gardening and organizing bill, etc.

Some users have also commented saying that the husband is also not wrong for asking for a little supports. But once the husband started getting attacked by users for not playing a part in child care, the poster defended him by writing, “He has never complained. He just says that a little assistance would help him in the morning. He is actually mild large, so I know he’s not overbearing”.
