The officials at Miami have released a video clip of Polo G arrest last year.

The Chicago-bred rapper was booked under battery charges on a police officer including resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief.

Here is everything you need to know.

Polo G’s 2021 arrest video becomes public

If you didn’t know, Polo G was taken into custody in June 2021 after the release party of his second studio album The Goat.

Regardless the charges were dropped eventually when the Rapstar singer completed anger management classes.

The latest body footage is proof showing why the rapper, whose name is Taurus Tremani Bartlet, needed those classes.

One segment of the clip displays a cop inside a police cruiser using his computer with Bartlett yelling at him in the background. The singer mentions that he wanted to become a police officer as well.

The cop however seems unfazed by his remarks and continues working. Despite it all, the duo further discusses an all-too-real scenario about an officer dying in the line of duty and leaving his children fatherless.

Further, in the video, we witness Bartlett receiving medical treatment as he pleads his case. The 23-year-old hip-hop singer claims that the police caused him to ‘blackout’ when they were arresting him.

The cops on the other hand alleged that the rapper was aggressive towards them during the arrest.

Bartlett’s mother and manager, Stacia Mac took to Facebook to give her son’s side of the story. She also claimed that the singer was racially profiled at the time of the chaotic incident.

Stacia wrote, ‘None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver.’

She further added, ‘He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done.’

According to NBC Miami, Bartlett was released hours later on bond from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center following the arrest.
