Polo G Arrested: Kidnapping, Robbery, and Assault Charges Rock Los Angeles Home Raid

Polo G was arrested in connection with an alleged incident involving his younger brother, rapper Trench Baby. According to a Los Angeles Police Department press release, officers went to Polo G and Trench Baby’s home to arrest the younger rapper for robbery but ended up charging Polo G with possession of a short-barreled rifle after discovering firearms at the residence. Following Polo G and Trench Baby’s arrest by the LAPD, the brothers were detained and booked by the Burbank Police Department on kidnapping, robbery, & assault with a deadly weapon charges, a spokeswoman for the department tells Pitchfork. The charges are the result of an incident report submitted in April.

The rappers were released on $100,000 bail & are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, October 26. The charges are additionally being reviewed by the district attorney’s office in Los Angeles. Polo G’s attorney, Bradford M. Cohen, said in a statement that he is awaiting more information regarding Burbank. “In view of the timing and the police’s alleged knowledge, Polo’s charges appear to be extremely unusual.” There seems to be a significant amount of time between the reported incident and the arrest. We feel that if all of the facts are revealed, the image will be substantially different from how the allegations appear on paper. We look forward to defending our client and seeing him vindicated.”

Police Arrest Rapper Polo G For Kidnapping, Robbery, And Assault With A Deadly Weapon

The Rapper Polo G has been arrested twice in California in the last two days by two different police departments. The musician Taurus Bartlett was detained by the Los Angeles Police Department on Wednesday, Aug. 23, along with his brother Taurean Bartlett, who performs as Trench Baby. The arrests were linked to a warrant acquired for Taurean in connection with a robbery that occurred earlier this month, as well as a search warrant obtained for the property in which both he and Taurus reside. According to a Los Angeles Police Department investigation, “numerous firearms have been recovered from both locations, as well as a vehicle registered to Taurus Bartlett.” Taurus was charged with having a short-barreled firearm in his possession, while Taurean was charged with robbery. When the brothers were released from LAPD custody, Burbank Police Department investigators were ready to arrest them again. The charges, which have nothing to do with the arrest in Los Angeles, include kidnapping, robbery, as well as assault with a deadly weapon.

“They have been taken into custody without incident and have since been released on $100,000 bail,” according to a statement from the Burbank Police Department.
