Twitch star Poki hinted about her departure from Twitch in her post. Meanwhile, Twitch, in its statement, also praised Poki’s journey on the platform. However, her fans have not been informed why Poki decided to leave Twitch after being on the platform for years.
Twitch streamer explains why she’s leaving the platform
After Poki’s cryptic post, her fans have been eagerly waiting for her to explain the reason behind leaving Twitch. She certainly did so in her recent podcast episode, stating, “If you see Twitch and streaming nowadays, it’s really almost nothing like how it was back then.”
She added, “Or frankly, I feel like it has regressed a lot. And I think that’s the biggest reason why I have hard time wanting to devote all of my time and all of my energy to just streaming”. Not just that, it seems like Twitch’s changes have not been well accepted by Poki.

In the recent podcast episode, Poki even said, “I personally am done with Twitch’s messy behaviour in the sense that I’m not done with Twitch, but I’m done with, like, being emotionally invested in the changes that this company is doing”.
Pokimane has decided not to renew her contract with Twitch this time. Regarding continuing streaming elsewhere, she said, “So moving forward, I’m going to try streaming on other platforms. How exciting. I’m going to try streaming on YouTube and TikTok and Instagram, and now I’m just going to have fun”.
Her upcoming stream is scheduled for February 1, 2024, on YouTube, featuring YouTube Streamers vs Twitch Streamers.
