PETA sent Rihanna a faux fur coat after she appeared to be wearing real fur to a dinner.

Here is everything you need to know.

PETA slams Rihanna for wearing a fur coat

Rihanna was captured earlier this week wearing a full-length fur coat which PETA believes is manufactured from real fur.

Hence, the animal rights organization has now asked Rihanna to make certain fashion changes to her wardrobe.

Moreover, PETA wrote a letter to Rihanna’s team that was obtained by TMZ. In addition, they claimed that they believe that her coat was made of real fur.

In addition, PETA asked her to switch it with the faux fur coat they sent along with the letter.

Lisa Lange, the senior vice president of PETA, wrote, ‘As a mother, you know what it’s like to feel protective and to want to make sure no harm comes to your family.’

She added, ‘Please understand that this desire — this instinct even — is shared by the minks, foxes, and rabbits who have torn away from their families and killed for their fur.’

Additionally, she went on to ask, ‘Won’t you please help create a kinder world for your children to grow up in by deciding today that you’ll no longer wear fur?’

Besides that, the organization has asked the Diamonds singer to give the clothes to them and they will donate them to the survivors of the recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.

Furthermore, PETA claimed that these victims have an actual excuse to wear the real fur coat since they have lost everything. They continued that the coat will help them to survive winter.

They mentioned that they are sending the faux fur coat from Unreal Fur to Rihanna. Subsequently, they added that the cloth will help her to ‘stay warm and fashionable while making the cruelty-free switch.’

Other incidents where PETA criticized Rihanna for her fashion choices

PETA sent an open letter to Rihanna in 2017 when the Grammy-winning artist showed up at the Christian Dior event in a knee-length Dior coat.

It read, ‘We saw the numerous comments from fans who were disappointed to see you wearing fur at the Dior event last week. Like us, they wish you would please retire your furs and instead choose a look that kills but doesn’t actually kill anyone.’

They continued, ‘Please accept this faux fur as a gift from PETA. In addition, we’d like to request that you please consider donating your furs to us.’
