Olivia Rodrigo was spotted hitting the books in Los Angeles. It comes a week after her incredible performance with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Olivia Rodrigo takes a class at USC Music School

Olivia Rodrigo most recently took a class at the Thornton School of Music on Wednesday at the University of Southern California. 

The news started circulating after a fan shared a photo of the pop star in her class.

Furthermore, they outlined the post with a caption that read, ‘No way I’m in class with Olivia bruh.’

Regardless, shortly after another image of Rodrigo started making rounds on the fan pages of the 19-year-old singer.

The picture revealed Rodrigo’s status at the college which listed her as an ‘undergraduate visitor’ with an ‘unclassified’ major.

The official website of USC states that a ‘visiting student’ is permitted to join and complete ‘individual courses for professional or personal development without enrolling in a degree program.’

Furthermore, a visiting student is basically a ‘non-award student’. They ‘pay up-front tuition fees and receive normal instruction, assessment, and formal results.’

In simpler terms, the Good For U artist is just attending a few classes to widen her musical production horizons at USC rather than pursuing a full degree.

Olivia Rodrigo took the stage alongside Billy Joel

Olivia Rodrigo joined legendary Billy Joel on 24th August 2022 during his residency at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show was Joel’s 82nd consecutive sold-out show.

The teen singer took the stage to reveal her love for Joel after she was introduced to the New York audience.

She said, ‘Hey, guys! Thank you so much for having me, Billy. I’m such a huge fan, and I kind of wrote this next song about you.’

Rodrigo then performed her hit single Deja Vu. Following this, the pair went on to duet Uptown Girl, which was included in Joel’s ninth studio album titled, An Innocent Man.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo concluded her tour in support of her album Sour last month. She performed two shows at Eventim Apollo in London, England on the 6th and 7th of July. The singer- songwriter kick-started the tour on 5th April in the United States of America.

She was nominated for seven categories at Grammy Awards for her album Sour. Nevertheless, she managed to bag three wins.
