Details Surrounding His Passing
OG Maco was hospitalized on December 12 after allegedly shooting himself in the head. A neighbor’s 911 call alerted police, who found him unresponsive at his residence with a firearm nearby. Despite undergoing surgery, he reportedly fell into a coma and ultimately passed away due to his injuries.
Doctors struggled to obtain clear brain scans because of toxins present in his body, adding complications to his medical condition.

OG Maco rose to fame with “U Guessed It,”
Hailing from College Park, Georgia, Maco began his music journey in high school, eventually co-founding the label OGG (Originality Gains Greatness). He later signed with Quality Control Music, home to acts like Migos and Cardi B, and landed a major contract with Capitol Music Group and Motown in 2015.
However, his musical output slowed in recent years as he faced significant personal challenges. In 2016, he survived a car accident that left him with skull fractures and a broken vertebra.
