Offset recently sat down for an interview with Variety where he shared that he is not biologically related to Takeoff or Quavo at all.
If you didn’t know, it was a common belief among fans for several years that the trio of rappers, who once formed the group Migos, were relatives.
Moreover, the article clarified that Quavo was indeed Takeoff’s uncle despite being three years older. Offset on the other hand became friends with the duo in sixth grade.

In addition, the 31-year-old rapper discussed a variety of topics including the tragic death of Takeoff, during his lengthy interview with the publication.
He said, ‘It’s hard for me to talk about s**t right now. I’ve never talked about this stuff.’
He continued, ‘Seriously. Talking about Take is hard, man. Talking about all this s**t is hard. That’s why I don’t, to be honest. That sh** hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood.’
Offset admitted that he is coping with Takeoff’s death by being in a state of partial denial.
He explained, ‘I get through my day thinking it’s fake. And I don’t say nothing to nobody about it.’
For the unversed, Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, died after being shot in Houston, Texas, on 1st November 2022. He was 28.
Offset gets candid about his relationship with Cardi B
Offset gushed on his wife Cardi B and praised her for her support during his recent interview with Variety.
He stated, ‘She always got my back, right or wrong. We both are on the same mission to make each other better.’
He remarked, ‘Social is her strong point, so I listen to her social advice. And me, it’s the music, but I play behind the scenes; it’s my wife, so I want to make sure she win.’
Offset and Cardi B attended the 2017 Super Bowl for their first date and went on to tie the knot in September of the same year.
Additionally, the pair welcomed their daughter in 2018 with the Bodak Yellow singer giving birth to their son Wave, in 2021.
