Nikita Dragun Is Facing A Human Rights Violation By Being Put In A Men’s Jail

The socialite Nikita Dragun was arrested in a Miami Hotel on Monday, November 7, 2022, after allegedly walking around the pool naked. Days after her arrest, a video clip of her asking the judge if she should remain in the men’s unit went viral. According to reports, Dragun was staying at the Goodtime Hotel when she caused the disturbance. She was arrested on felony charges of violence against a police officer. Police also claimed that Nikita threw a bottle at an employee besides causing a commotion at the hotel. For disorderly conduct, Nikita Dragun was taken to Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

As a result, Dragun was charged with felony battery on a police officer, as well as a misdemeanour for disorderly conduct. She was captured on video wearing a prison jumpsuit in a TikTok video posted by user @potatothugginnn after her arrest. In the video, Nikita Dragun can be seen asking the judge, Can I ask one question? Do I need to stay in the men’s unit still? The official responds, Yeah, I don’t make the rules up there yet (its) appropriate convenience for you. Many disagreed with the beauty influencer’s treatment and were irate after the news started building up momentum. One user expressed his viewpoint after the incident, I am not a big fan of beauty influencer Nikita Dragun nor am I defending Nikita Dragun’s actions in any shape or structure yet when she was placed into prison and was forced to stay in a men’s unit, dangerous and very heartbreaking. Nikita Dragun Arrested And Forced To Stay In Men’s Unit Of Florida Jail

The election was not the only discouraging thing to occur in Florida this week. On Monday, 7th November, Beauty Youtuber and Hype House star Nikita Dragun was reportedly arrested at the Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, after allegedly splashing water from a water bottle on a cop. The police were called to Nikita Dragun’s hotel room after complaints against the beauty influencer Nikita Dragun strolling around the pool naked and causing a disturbance when requested to stop, TMZ revealed. She was apparently arrested for felony battery on a cop, disorderly conduct, and misdemeanour battery and reportedly Nikita was taken to Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

On 8th November, she essentially showed up in bond court virtually, and the now-viral recording of the procedures uncovered that Nikita Dragun, a trans woman, was forced into the men’s unit of the correctional center. In her bond hearing, Nikita Dragun asked judge Mindy Glazer, Do I need to stay here in the men’s unit, still? to which Judge Mindy Glazer answered, Yeah, I don’t make the rules up there. Dragun posted a $5,000 bond and was set free from prison. Nikita Dragun’s publicist Jack Ketsoyan said in a statement to Miami’s Local 10 News that the situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being set in a men’s unit of a Florida prison is very upsetting and dangerous. He further added that this decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department straightforwardly disregards their protocol, which reportedly mandates that transgender detainees are arranged and housed in view of their well-being/safety needs and their gender identity.
