New backgrounds for Microsoft Teams are here! Clippy will be back to cheer you on from your favorite online workspace

Microsoft Clippy Returns: Microsoft has announced a collection of backgrounds that consists of some tools that were introduced earlier. It has even included the one that featured in the old Office assistant Clippy. The company has announced these collections of backgrounds on the 8th of July, which is known as Throwback Thursday. During this time, the company reveals or makes the old features available again for the users to use them. 

The collection that has been given to the users consists of four interesting backgrounds which refer to the classic window programs and themes that were earlier in Microsoft

. When the officials were asked about this decision, they revealed that ” It would be good to go down the memory lane and look at some of the best points in the career of Microsoft.” However, one of the best features that have been given to the users is in the form of Microsoft Office Assistant which is known as Clippy.

Clippy is an animated paper clip and it was first introduced to the public in Office 97 which is very much helpful to the users as it provides some useful information to them. Another background that has been introduced to the users is known as Bliss wallpaper. Apart from it, the collection also includes Microsoft Solitaire backgrounds. It is a sort of game that came out in 1990 on Windows 3.0. This year, it will be celebrating its 31st anniversary. Apart from this, the game was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019, thus overall, there is huge respect and a lot of emotions connected with it. The last background in the collection is Microsoft Paint. It is the oldest to be involved in the collection as it featured in Windows 1.0 in 1985.
