Yevgenny Nuzhin, a Russian mercenary was executed with a blow to his head by a sledgehammer for defecting to Ukraine.

Grey Zone, an outlet in Russia shared a graphical video of Yevgenny Nuzhin being bludgeoned to death for switching sides to Ukraine on their Telegram channel.
Nuzhin was a former prisoner of the Ryazan Penal Colony- 3.
Nevertheless, the video shows the 55-year-old being strapped to what appears to be a brick wall with clingfilm.
He can be heard stating, ‘I am Yevgeny Anatolievich Nuzhin, born in 1967, who went to the front to go to the side of Ukraine to fight against the Russians.’

Moreover, he says that on 4th September he planned to carry out his plan to switch to Ukraine to seek refuge from the country.
He continued to allege that on 11th November 2022, someone hit him in the head while he walking on the streets of Kyiv. He was kidnapped and brought to an unspecified location.
The man further admitted, ‘I woke up in this basement. Where I was told that I was going to be tried.’
Furthermore, an unidentified man in a combat uniform can be seen loitering behind the trapped man. He suddenly smashes a sledgehammer into the side of Nuzhin’s face and neck. He continues to hit him multiple times until the video goes dark.

Meanwhile, the post came along with a message that read, ‘Those who understand know that a sledgehammer and traitors have a close relationship.’
Besides that, many believe that the footage is linked with Wagner’s private military group. The organization was founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin who happens to be a close ally of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
Prigozhin described the video as, ‘It seems to me that this film should be called- a dog dies a dog’s death.’

Netizens took to social media to share their disdain over the horrific video. They further went on to dub the Wagner group a ‘terrorist’ for the barbaric way of killing a person.
