Ms Rachel, a popular children’s YouTube creator, recently faced criticism for her posts celebrating Pride Month. This isn’t the first time she has had to defend her political views, which include support for the LGBTQ+ community and children in conflict zones, including the Gaza Strip.

On June 1, Ms Rachel shared a heartfelt message on her official TikTok account, ‘MsRachelForLittle,’ to families celebrating Pride Month. She expressed her joy and acceptance of all her followers, anticipating potential backlash by stating that she stands firm in her support and love.

Ms Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, is the face behind the Songs for Littles YouTube channel. With over 10 million subscribers, she is renowned for her musical educational content for children. Her success can be attributed to the simplicity and inclusivity of her videos.

However, some parents were reportedly unhappy with her addressing the Pride Month celebrations. In response, Ms Rachel reaffirmed her support for the LGBTQ+ community in a follow-up video on June 3. She emphasized her faith and the importance of loving every neighbor, a principle she believes is reiterated eight times in the Bible’s Matthew 22 parable.

The influencer, who has over two million followers on Instagram, concluded her message by vowing to remain true to herself and stand by everyone. She also released an official statement with NBC News, advocating for empathy, respect, and more dialogue to reduce division.

Among her critics were conservative commentator Matt Walsh, Libs of TikTok, and Bradley Brewer. Walsh, associated with The Daily Wire, argued that Accurso was rejecting conservative viewership. Libs of TikTok criticized her initial Pride Month post, accusing her of supporting a controversial cult.

Last year, Ms Rachel took a mental health break following backlash when her co-star Jules Hoffman requested to be referred to by the pronouns “they” and “them.” She also faced scrutiny after launching a fundraiser for children in conflict zones, including the Gaza Strip. Despite these challenges, Ms Rachel continues to stand firm in her beliefs and support for all communities.
