On August 4, 2024, Twitch streamer Mizkif created a stir on social media by hinting that his editor, Rosii, would be releasing a video exposing him. True to his word, Rosii posted a video on Mizkif’s official YouTube channel titled “I Worked For Mizkif, He’s A Fraud.” This title immediately caught attention as it seemed to be a humorous nod to a recent viral video by a former MrBeast employee, DogPack404, titled “I Worked For MrBeast, He’s A Fraud,” which contained serious allegations.
However, unlike DogPack404’s serious accusations, Rosii’s video was clearly a parody. Filled with jokes and mock interviews, it poked fun at Mizkif rather than making genuine accusations. The video opened with Rosii humorously introduced as “Mizkif’s Editor & Personal Slave,” setting the tone for the satirical content that followed.
The video featured various playful allegations against Mizkif, which were primarily light-hearted critiques of his content. Notable segments included interviews with fellow content creators like Alinity, who jokingly claimed their interactions were scripted, and Yung Jeff, CEO of OTK, who jested about managing Mizkif’s X account and the streamer’s obsession with going viral.
Rosii’s tone throughout the video was comedic, taking every opportunity to mock his employer. At one point, he referred to Mizkif as a “cretin,” humorously claiming that he had to expose him for the fraud he is. The playful nature of the video was underscored by props and humorous visuals, such as pointing to a photo of Syn4ack on a board and commenting on his appearance.
Mizkif joined in on the fun by responding to the parody video with his own mock statement, denying all of Rosii’s allegations. On his X Community Page, he humorously refuted the claims, stating:
“As you all know. Rosii’s video is out. I still stand by what I said. What Rosii said is 100% lies. The people in the video are not my friends. And it’s gross that he took advantage of me and made this video. I’m sorry for those who have to deal with this.”
Adding to the humor, Mizkif joked in the comments that he would copyright strike the video, playfully saying, “I’m trying to copystrike him lips smack
This parody video stands in stark contrast to the more serious allegations Mizkif has faced. Earlier this year, controversial Twitch creator Mitch Jones accused Mizkif of assault. These allegations are a serious matter, highlighting the different tones and contexts in which Mizkif finds himself discussed in the online community.
Rosii’s video, while satirical, underscores the culture of parody and humor that often permeates the world of online content creation. It also demonstrates the close-knit, if irreverent, relationships between streamers and their editors, who often partake in creating content that blurs the lines between genuine controversy and light-hearted fun.
