After splitting with Billy Ray Cyrus a year ago, Miley Cyrus’ mother, Tish Cyrus, is now engaged to Prison Break alum, Dominic Purcell. Using photos of the two embracing, Tish announced the news on Sunday, April 29th, 2023. There are two images in the carousel, the first showing Cyrus’ square-cut engagement ring and the second showing Cyrus and Purcell embracing. The caption of the post read, A thousand times… Yes, adding a heart emoji as well as tagging the British-Australian actor. Tish’s ex Billy Ray sparked rumors that he had gotten engaged to Aussie singer Firerose in September 2022, which was confirmed two months later. In November 2022, Tish, 55, and Purcell, 53, made their relationship Instagram-official.
Social media and public displays of their love have been common since then. Reports indicated that the pair was getting serious pretty quickly earlier this year. In February, a source told Us Weekly that Tish and Dominic couldn’t be happier. She feels as if she has found her soulmate. For nearly 20 years, Tish was married to Miley and Noah Cyrus’ father, Billy Ray Cyrus. According to People, the couple first separated in 2010, when the Achy Breaky Heart singer filed for divorce. Tish filed for divorce in 2013, then called it off the next month. When the 55-year-old filed for divorce again in 2022, the couple split for good.

Tish Cyrus, the mother of Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, has found love once again. On Saturday, she announced her engagement to British-Australian actor Dominic Purcell through Instagram. Cyrus was previously married to country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. “Prison Break,” “Equilibrium” and “Assault on Wall Street” are among Purcell’s most notable roles. Tish Cyrus shared a pair of photos of them together in the post. Cyrus is shown in the first image holding her square-cut engagement ring, while she is embraced by Purcell in the second image. With the couple’s impending nuptials, Tish Cyrus will be married for the third time. From 1986 to 1989, Cyrus was married to Baxter Neal Helson. Tish Cyrus married Billy Ray Cyrus four years later. Billy Ray and Cyrus have five children together: Brandi, 35, Trace, 34, Miley, 30, Braison, 28, and Noah, 23.

According to court documents obtained by USA TODAY, Cyrus filed for divorce from Billy Ray in April 2022 due to irreconcilable differences. Moreover, the divorce complaint stated that the couple hadn’t lived together for more than two years. Cyrus filed for divorce in 2013 after two previous attempts at divorce: Billy Ray filed in 2010 and Cyrus in 2010. USA TODAY reports that Billy Ray’s rep Scott Adkins said the couple has decided to separate after 30 years, five amazing children, and a lifetime of memories – not with sorrow, but with love. We look forward to sharing our experiences as family and friends with you on a continued and loving basis, they added. The time has come for us to make our own paths after growing up together, raising a family together we are proud of, and making decisions on our own. While the decision was not made lightly, it was imperative for us to provide closure and clarity so that we could keep focusing on what is truly important.
