Grammy-winning music producer Metro Boomin, known for his collaborations with some of hip-hop’s biggest names, is facing a serious lawsuit from Vanessa LeMaistre, who alleges that he assaulted her in 2016. The lawsuit, recently obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, outlines LeMaistre’s claims, which include assault, drug use, and emotional trauma from the events. LeMaistre is seeking damages for mental pain, anguish, and punitive damages, though no specific amount is noted.

The events reportedly began in the spring of 2016 when LeMaistre and Metro Boomin, whose real name is Leland Wayne, met during a trip to Las Vegas. According to LeMaistre, she was grieving the loss of her nine-month-old son, and during this vulnerable time, she formed a bond with Metro. Following their initial meeting in Las Vegas, Metro allegedly invited LeMaistre to his Los Angeles studio. According to her, she observed him using codeine against the advice of his associates.

Alleged Assault in 2016

LeMaistre claims that the assault took place in September 2016. During a visit to Metro Boomin’s studio, she recalls taking half a Xanax and a shot of alcohol to cope with her ongoing grief. She alleges that after consuming these substances, she blacked out on a studio couch. When she regained consciousness, she found herself in a bed with Metro Boomin allegedly on top of her, performing oral sex and engaging in sexual activities without her consent. LeMaistre claims she blacked out again and later woke up in a hotel room in Beverly Hills, where Metro reportedly informed her it was time to leave. She says she has no memory of how she ended up in the hotel room.

The lawsuit further claims that following the alleged assault, LeMaistre discovered she was pregnant and believes Metro Boomin was the father, as she had not been intimate with anyone else. According to the documents obtained by TMZ, she ultimately chose to terminate the pregnancy in November 2016.

Alleged References in Song Lyrics

In her lawsuit, LeMaistre also accuses Metro Boomin of referencing her trauma in his music. She specifically cites the lyrics of “Rap Saved Me,” a track released in 2017 featuring Quavo, Offset, and 21 Savage, which includes the line, “She took a Xanny / Then she fainted / I’m from the gutter… ain’t no changing.” LeMaistre alleges that these lyrics refer to her experience, describing the song as a mocking reference to her alleged assault and her mental and physical state at the time.

Metro Boomin’s Response to the Allegations

Metro Boomin’s lawyer, Lawrence Hinkle II of Sanders Roberts LLP, has dismissed the allegations, describing the lawsuit as “a pure shakedown” and categorizing the claims as baseless. According to Hinkle, Metro Boomin previously refused to meet what he called an attempted financial demand and plans to pursue a malicious prosecution counterclaim after defending himself in court. Hinkle stated, “Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court.”

In her lawsuit, LeMaistre seeks unspecified damages, including punitive damages and compensation for mental distress and emotional pain allegedly caused by the 2016 events. Metro Boomin has yet to release a direct statement addressing the allegations or the lawsuit’s details beyond his lawyer’s response.

As the case unfolds, it is likely to draw significant attention, with Metro Boomin being a high-profile figure in the music industry. The lawsuit highlights sensitive issues involving alleged assault, mental health, and the implications of fame, particularly in cases involving accusations of misconduct against influential figures. For now, Metro Boomin’s legal team appears prepared to defend him, with both sides anticipated to present their arguments as the case progresses through the legal system.
