Meghan Markle did not appear beside her husband, Prince Harry when he was summoned to Balmoral Castle following the news of Queen Elizabeth’s death.

Here is everything you need to know.

Meghan Markle’s presence was not requested at Queen Elizabeth’s bedside

Royal expert Katie Nicholl recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

During the interview, Nicholl shared that an invitation was not extended to Meghan Markle to join the royal family during the final hours of Queen Elizabeth.

She claimed, ‘It’s understood that the family wanted Prince Harry to be there, even though he was unable to get to Balmoral in time to see his grandmother.’

Furthermore, she said, ‘But Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was not, we understand, invited to join the family.’

Nicholl then went on to add, ‘She has said she will go to Balmoral another time. But I think it is quite significant that Prince Harry traveled to Balmoral on his own without his wife.’

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton was also absent at the time of Her Majesty’s passing. She remained at Windsor with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
