The media and reporters at the Met Gala 2022 made a huge mistake when they mistook Swedish couture client Fredrik Robertsson for Jared Leto. The fashion show is currently in progress, and celebrities are arriving on the red carpet one by one. Fashionistas all over the world are glued to Twitter, waiting for more images and videos. Jared Leto, star of WeCrashed, is one of the Met’s most sought-after attendees. This time, however, it was his so-called “doppelganger” who stole the show.
WHO IS FREDRIK ROBERTSSON?
Fredrik Robertsson describes himself as a “creative dictator” and “fashion addict.” The star first gained attention after appearing in Vogue in January 2019 as a ‘Mystery Man at Valentino’s Couture Show.’ Fredrik is a Stockholm native who was raised in Sweden, Norway, and Singapore. He began his career in public relations and worked for another firm for several years before launching his own. After a decade in business, he sold it in 2019.
When asked about his early life and how he became interested in fashion, the fashion enthusiast told Vogue in 2019: “People in general dress pretty cool, but lack uniqueness.” In 2019, he was the Editor-in-Chief of Boy Magazine and the Chairman of a philanthropic board that supports the LGBTQ community. Fredrik Robertsson had over 28,000 Instagram followers at the time of writing.
THE MEDIA CONFUSES JARED LETO’S DESIGNER FOR THE MET GALA 2022
Fredrik Robertsson wore an otherworldly Iris Van Herpen gown to the 2022 Met Gala. The star documented the entire Met Gala preparation process on social media. While the self-proclaimed ‘creative director’ had no intention of being a Jared Leto doppelganger, the media mistook him for the actor, and fans began calling him a doppelganger. Even The New York Times and Getty Images misidentified him as Jared Leto. However, things became clear when the WeCrashed star arrived at the event dressed to the nines alongside Gucci’s creative director. Alessandro Michele, just minutes later.
