Meet Candace Parker’s Wife Anna Petrakova As She is Pregnant with First Child

Candace Parker, a WNBA champion, revealed recently that she and her partner Anna Petrakova are going to have a child. She even said that they married in secrecy in 2019 and have also been together for 2 years. Shelden Williams, Candace Parker’s ex-husband, is the father of Lailaa. In 2008, the couple tied the knot, and their daughter was born in 2009. They ended the relationship in 2016, alleging “unresolved issues,” and their divorce was officially finalized in 2018. Later she married Anna Petrakova.
Who is Anna Petrakova?
Anna Petrakova is a Russian basketball player who is 37 years old. She was indeed a part of the fourth-placed Russian women’s national basketball team at the 2012 summer Olympic Games.
Petrakova, together with Dynamo Kursk, won the EuroCup Championship division in 2011–12. At UMMC Ekaterinburg, she successfully earned the EuroLeague Ladies in 2012–13 as well as the 2013 FIBA European SuperCup Women.
Petrakova married WNBA star Candace Parker on December 14, 2021, as well as the couple, are expecting their first baby together. Candace Parker and Anna Petrakova married in 2019, a year after Parker’s divorce from his ex-husband, Shelden Williams.

The Chicago Sky captain released a collection of photos from their private marriage ceremony on Instagram to commemorate her second anniversary with Petrakova. During their wedding night, the pair is all in white and accompanied by friends and relatives in the flashback photos.
Parker wrote in her posts:
“Happy Anniversary Моя жена! 2 years ago, I got to marry my best friend in front of our close family and friends. My heart could have exploded. I cried like a baby… ” Parker wrote alongside the images. “To know me or you is to know our love. This journey hasn’t been easy. I am proud of us and what we have built and who we have grown to become both individually and together.
Other photographs showed Anna Petrakova cuddling her baby bulge and Candace Parker’s 12-year-old daughter, Lailaa, in the same picture. The basketball player Candace Parker said on Instagram that both she and Anna Petrakova had always wanted to expand their household and also that Lailaa was thrilled to be the eldest sister:
“We’ve constantly wanted to expand our family… it’s strange that we’re expecting a kid!” “I’m so excited to be a big sister!” exclaims Lailaa.
She also expressed gratitude to her spouse for parenting Lailaa like if she were her actual daughter:
“Thank you for always adoring Lailaa as if she were your own, for just being my peace, my love, my system of thought, for my laughter, my hugs, for my rain dance, for just being my happiness, for being my home.”
