TC Candler awarded Paing Takhon, a Burmese model and actor, as the MOST HANDSOME FACE OF 2021. The prestigious global organization also considered names like Chris Hemsworth, Timothee Chalamet and BTS members Jungkook and V. TC Candler is one of the most-highly awaited ranking charts globally. In 2018, Paing also won Buzzfeed’s 23 Stunning South Asian Men That Are Too Gorgeous For Words. Not just this, he features in THE MYANMAR TIMES -TOP 10 ACTORS in 2019. Paing is considered one of Southeast Asia’s most popular stars. But, he was sentenced to three years in prison due to his active participation in protests against the military coup in Myanmar. Meet Burmese Model Paing Takhon
Paing Takhon, 25-year-old, is a famous Burmese model, actor and tried singing also. He is a Myanmar native and belongs to a family of parents and have five siblings. Paing is a graduate and settled in Yangon in 2014 to follow a career in modelling. The first debut of Paing was last year in Most Handsome Face. And he was ranked at 10th position but this year he was on top of the list.
Takhon enrolled himself in John Lwin’s model training to get started more seriously. Soon after this, he debuted as a runway model with John Lwin’s International Modelling Agency. He appeared in many TV commercials and advertisements as well after this. And gained several prestigious modelling gigs. Paing also established his own beauty product organisation. Also, he became a shareholder of United Amara Bank.
Paing Takhon Acting
Paing began his career in acting in 2017. He debuted in movies like Midnight Traveller, Bad Boys 2, Thu Bal Thu Lae and Thaman Kyar. Paing gained popularity in Thailand and neighbouring countries as well. He bagged many tv commercials as well as serials and shows.
In 2019, a fan meeting in Bangkok occurred where his supporters and fans showed up in large amounts.
Paing Takhon Singing
Paing Takhon tried his luck into singing in 2017. This year, his album Chit Thu which means Lover released which was a hit. After this, he became the face of many brands in Myanmar. He endorsed Ponds, Oppo, Telenor, Sunkist and many more brands and labels in Myanmar. In the year 2019, in September the Myanmar Tourism Federation appointed him as ambassador to Thailand. Paing was also the ambassador of the ASEAN Economic Community.
Paing Takhon Arrest
Earlier this year, Paing took a strong stand against the anti-coup movement in Myanmar. This year, on April 8 he was under arrest because of the charges. He got charges for active participation in the civil disobedience movement. His sister, Thi Thi Lwin informed fans that he was suffering from multiple illnesses at the time of the arrest. The arrest occurred at his mother’s home and without any violence according to sources. On December 27, Takhon was sentenced to three years in prison with hard labour.
