Meet Anastasiia Lenna as Former Miss Grand Ukraine joins fight against Russian invasion

Model Anastasiia Lenna claimed to be a member of the country’s resistance on February 22. Beauty queen posted a picture to her Instagram with an AR-15 rifle when she was apparently patrolling the streets.

According to her Instagram pictures, the model has extensive experience with weapons and airsoft rifles. Lenna has been posting anti-war messages on her Instagram throughout the Russia-Ukraine conflict, including praise for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

She wrote in an Instagram story on Saturday, “Anyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed!”. It appears that she is part of the Ukrainian forces defending Kyiv as seen on her Instagram posts.

Who is Anastasiia Lenna?

It’s most well known that she represented Ukraine in the 2015 Miss Grand International pageant. After five years of coursework, the 30 something model earned her marketing and management degree from Kiev Slavistik University.

According to reports, Anastasiia Lenna worked as a public relations manager after graduating. As well as being fluent in five languages, she has worked as a translator. Additionally, Lenna has worked as a model turned actress and television personality in Istanbul, hosting multiple shows.

Anastasiia Lenna discussed the ongoing conflict in her profile. She said she wants to stop the war. This is what the world needs right now. She said she supports this idea. “Now the situation in Ukraine is getting worse, so I am also upset about what is happening in the whole world.”
