With a craze for McDonald’s French Fries everywhere, it came as a surprise to many when in early March this year, McDonald’s Japan shared via their X account about the perfume line inspired by McDonald’s French Fries.
The three different perfumes in the post were enough to make everyone jump in excitement to find out if McDonald’s has really launched a perfume inspired by their French Fry snacks.

The post by McDonald’s Japan presented three different scents with aromas of plum nori seaweed salt, garlic black pepper mayo seasoning, and the “French Fry.” Their packaging also resembled the mentioned fast food items exactly.
However, this also left many people confused about the post. Many were convinced that McDonald’s had indeed come up with their French Fry perfume. But guess what? Even though the post about it went viral on social media, a spokesperson from McDonald’s Japan has cleared all the doubts surrounding the viral product.
Has McDonald’s really launched their French Fry perfume?
The post by McDonald’s Japan certainly led many to believe in the existence of the fast food chain’s French Fry perfume. However, that isn’t exactly the case. While people may have loved to try out the French Fry perfume at least once, the product actually isn’t real.
The spokesperson of McDonald’s Japan, in an email to Food & Wine, stated, “The image was posted as part of a promotion for the limited-time flavored fries product, and we would like people to enjoy the scent of fries and flavors. This perfume is not actually manufactured or sold.”
Well, despite the fact that the French Fry perfume by McDonald’s is not real, it doesn’t mean that such a product may not exist in the future.
