On December 11, 2024, Max Major addressed the controversy in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he defended his actions and provided context for the stunt. The magician asserted that he had not misled Cenat’s team and that the performance was not intended to endanger the streamerās platform.
āI did not lie to Kai’s team about the stunt I was going to perform on Mafiathon 2, and this was not an attempt to get him banned,ā he wrote. Major explained that the stunt involved constructing a gallows, placing a noose around his neck, being lifted into the air, and then falling onto a pile of boxes. He emphasized that both Cenatās team and Twitch were aware of the stunt’s nature and had approved it, contingent on the inclusion of a disclaimer: “Professional stunt, do not attempt.”
