Furthermore, MTTSH posted on X about the ‘top choice’ for the role. For a long time, the Oppenheimer actor was a fan favourite. Because of his experience playing renowned characters, he can play a fantastic Doctor Doom. It is critical to emphasise that this is merely a rumor. Ryan Gosling & Josh Hartnett were both mentioned as possible candidates to play Doom in Fantastic Four. Ralph Fiennes & Jason Clarke’s names were additionally mentioned. MTTISH’s post created quite a stir on social media.

Commenters were divided on Murphy’s prospective role. Several Reddit posts also explore Murphy’s potential role as Doctor Doom. With all of the hype around the position, the bad news is that it does not look to be a major role in the revival. The good news is that it might lead to a new MCU spinoff. Cillian Murphy Is Rumored To Be Marvel’s Preferred Option To Play Doctor Doom

With the end of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Marvel Studios is returning to casting the principal parts for the forthcoming MCU Fantastic Four reboot, although this is just a(nother) rumor for the time being, we can see it garnering a lot of enthusiasm. Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer, Batman Begins, Inception) is currently the studio’s preferred contender to play Doctor Doom in the film, according to MTTSH. Murphy has long been a fan-favourite choice to play the legendary villain, so if this is true, it’s sure to please the Fantastic Four fans. Certainly, even if an offer is extended, there’s no certainty that the Irish actor will accept, especially given the existence of other potential candidates. Earlier speculations suggested that both Ryan Gosling and Josh Hartnett were being considered for the role of Doom, and they are still believed to be contenders. More recently, Ralph Fiennes and Jason Clarke have emerged as possible choices, and there were reports that Mads Mikkelsen was offered the role but declined, potentially leading to Murphy’s consideration. While the team’s main adversary may not have a prominent role in the reboot, there’s speculation that the character could become a significant antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially if the studio shifts away from Kang (Jonathan Majors).

Several credible sources have stated that Doom will be the main antagonist in Avengers: Secret Wars. Production is scheduled to begin a bit sooner than expected, and Marvel is expected to unveil the full cast at once. So far, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards is the only “confirmed” actor, but he will almost certainly be joined by Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, or the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, as well as Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing. The best choice for Galactus is thought to be Javier Bardem, but his schedule may prohibit him from signing on. The Eater of Worlds’ herald is thought to be Silver Surfer, albeit in a female form. According to a new rumour, Anya Taylor-Joy is being considered for the part. FF will be directed by Matt Shakman from a script written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. The plot is currently unknown, but Kevin Feige has assured that this would not be another origin narrative for the superhero team.
