Ma$e and Diddy End Publishing Feud: Cam’ron Confirms Settlement and Return of Publishing Rights

According to Cam’ron, the long-running rivalry between Ma$e and Diddy is now resolved, after the Bad Boy Records founder and his former artist settled their publication rights disagreement. The Dipset representative announced the good news alongside the announcement of his upcoming album, The Lost Files Vol. 1. Cam’ron alleges that his It’s What It Is co-host is busy with his musical endeavours and is unable to participate in the project. He complimented Ma$e and hinted at a future musical reunion following the release of his upcoming album. During his tenure on Diddy’s Bad Boy label, Ma$e became one of the biggest rap performers of the 1990s.

His 1997 CD Harlem World was a huge success and earned him a Grammy nomination. The Hot 100 Top was also hosted by the 4x-Platinum project. 10 singles, including “Feel So Good,” “What You Want” with Total, and “Lookin’ At Me” with Puff Daddy. Despite being one of Bad Boy’s biggest artists, Ma$e departed the label after becoming dissatisfied with the way business was handled. Things stayed somewhat pleasant until Diddy got the Icon Award at the 2020 Grammys. Ma$e blasted his former label head, accusing him of holding his publication hostage. He claimed Diddy paid “about $20,000” for the rights, but he turned down Ma$e’s $2 million offer to purchase back his masters.

Cam’ron revealed that Diddy and Ma$e have finally addressed their long-running publication rights battle. Cam’ron alleges that his It’s What It Is co-host is busy with his musical endeavours and is unable to participate in the project. “My n#### murder had to sit this one out,” Cam’ron wrote on Wednesday (August 30) in an Instagram post. “He just received his publishing from Puff. “I finished the paperwork for that yesterday.” He praised Ma$e and hinted at a possible musical reunion after the release of his forthcoming record. “While he’s getting his music back in order, I’m emptying my hard drive pause,” he said.

Diddy claims Ma$e owes him $3 million for an album advance that was never fulfilled. “That’s facts, I got the receipts,” Diddy remarked before adding, “I’m not gonna argue with Ma$e.” I’m not going to argue with anyone. Now I’m just going to speak up for myself.”
