Louis Tomlinson seems to have taken a strong stance against the long-held belief that he and Harry Styles were formerly in a romantic relationship. Anybody who has invested any time in the One Direction fanbase will have stumbled across fan theories claiming the former bandmates were involved in a secret romance, with believers dubbed ‘Larries’. While the accusations are false, supporters refer to recordings of the couple conversing, specific lines in One Direction songs, as well as whatever else they can find to prove the relationship was real. In the past, Harry and Louis have largely ignored the allegations, but Louis recently spoke out against them by calling them “childish conspiracy theories.”

In a Twitter Q&A with followers on Tuesday, Louis was asked what appears to be a simple question – ‘Louis, how do you make chicken parmesan?’ But it was a loaded question for those in the know, specifically those neck-deep in the theories, as Larries is certain it’s the meal Louis & Harry eat on their first date. And it seems that Louis is conscious of the fanbase in-joke, as he had a fiery response for the fans. Thousands of fans shared speculation and their theories about Harry and Louis having a secret relationship on Tumblr during One Direction’s heyday, resulting in these continuing to find new life on TikTok as well as Twitter, with numerous supporters proudly claiming themselves Larries.

Louis Tomlinson is putting the record straight about his life narrative. On Oct. 31, while addressing inquiries concerning his tour, the former One Direction member shot down juvenile rumours regarding his personal life. “Louis, how do you prepare chicken parmesan?” a fan questioned on X (previously known as Twitter), prompting the artist to respond with a strong statement. “You begin by recognising all these absurd childish theories as well as conspiracies are a waste of time and energy,” the 31-year-old responded, “and then, to be fair, simply toss the chicken in the oven.” “It’s all very simple.” While some users assumed Louis was alluding to his “Larry” followers (shipping conspiracy theorists who wanted Louis to pursue former bandmate Harry Styles), the person who originally posted clarified their intentions: “All I did was request for cooking advice.” Louis’ fiery answer to a fan query on the platform was not his only one.
