Logan Paul has addressed the rising backlash surrounding his latest product launch, Lunchly, which has faced criticism for its lack of healthier food options. Teaming up with fellow YouTuber KSI and viral content creator MrBeast, Paul introduced Lunchly on September 17, 2024. The product, a competitor to the well-known Lunchables brand, offers three variants: Pizza, Nachos, and Turkey Stack ‘Ems. However, many social media users were quick to slam the influencers for the unhealthy nature of the meal kits, with some demanding healthier alternatives like carrots, celery, and apple slices.

The response from Logan, KSI, and MrBeast was swift, with the trio addressing the backlash shortly after it surfaced. In a recent video, Logan Paul took the time to clarify why they chose to go down the path of creating Lunchly instead of offering a more health-conscious option.

“I think we just see this fundamentally different than other people,” Paul stated. “Sure, we could have made a lunch meal with carrots, celery, and apple slices, but I don’t eat that stuff. I’ll admit, I’ll have those things sometimes, but not for lunch. For a lunch meal, I want something fun and enjoyable.”

Paul further explained that his decision was rooted in nostalgia and personal experience, stating that he grew up on Lunchables and wanted to create something similar for today’s generation. “I wouldn’t sell something that I don’t eat myself,” he added. “And honestly, I wouldn’t find myself reaching for a lunch made up of carrots, celery, and apple slices. I want something exciting, and that’s what Lunchly delivers.”

Partnering with MrBeast and bringing Prime Hydration and Feastables into the mix made perfect sense for Logan. He referred to the collaboration as a “no-brainer” and emphasized that, in his opinion, Lunchly offers a superior option to the existing Lunchables. “If we can take shelf space from a company that isn’t producing the best product in terms of what’s in it, that’s a win for us,” he said.

While some fans are critical of Lunchly’s nutritional value, the response hasn’t been entirely negative. On September 23, Twitch streamer Asmongold tested Lunchly side by side with Lunchables and remarked that there wasn’t much difference between the two. Despite the ongoing debate over its health implications, Lunchly has already sparked significant interest in the market, and only time will tell how it performs against its more established competitors.

For now, Logan Paul remains confident in his product, focusing on providing a fun and familiar lunch option rather than caving to pressure for a healthier alternative.
